Every year, Burning Man—a week-long experiment in temporary and alternative living—has an assigned theme that drives the art and overall narrative of the year.
2019 brought us Metamorphoses. I was inspired by alchemy, and the individual combining with naturally occurring elements, morphing and changing overtime.
I drew upon occult revival type—Eckmann—and the ever-magnificent colors of sunset in the Black Rock Desert to create an atmospheric identity for Metamorphoses 2019.
