Anamorphosis
Anamorphosis is a project of love. A concept piece for the BFI annual film festival, this piece honors the Brothers Quay and their splendidly grotesque and macabre works.
The Quay’s films are atmospheric dreamscapes about perception, visual poetry, and encapsulating a certain mise-en-scène. Anamorphosis, which is a distorted projection which appears normal when viewed with a suitable mirror or lens, seemed an appropriate theme—and ultimate name—for the festival itself.
